Reporting directly to the Vice President of Network Engineering, the Network Engineer III will be responsible for designing, implementing and performing day-to-day support of network infrastructure and appliances (virtual and physical), as well as collaborating with other engineers and operations teams in resolving all network issues.

This individual will be directly accountable for significantly contributing to the overall technical architecture, stability, resiliency and general health related to network solutions.


The Network Engineer is responsible for;

  • Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administrating the company’s and client’s network hardware and software solutions;
  • Performing operational analysis of new technologies and recommending changes in solution reference architecture and client infrastructure design;
  • Engaging with client engineering talent to provide consultative solutions to business challenges;
  • Evaluating existing internal and customer environments and for making recommendations for improving those environments;
  • Supporting virtual and physical network and security appliances in high-availability environments that span multiple data centers and physical locations;
  • Creating, maintaining, and updating operational documentation of client infrastructure, communication flows, and routing necessary to support the environment;
  • Proactively monitoring systems and performing preventative maintenance and updates to prevent performance impacts to systems and business functions;
  • Managing client solutions, configuring and tuning hardware and software to ensure optimum network performance and resource availability;
  • Participating in disaster recovery tests, planning and solutions;
  • Supporting system engineering and other operational teams when new systems or servers are introduced or new clients are on-boarded;
  • Planning and execution of any hardware migrations and upgrades that pertain to network and security solutions;
  • Designing, planning and implementing projects as required to support the day-to-day production requirements;
  • Mentoring junior engineering talent and development materials and standard operating procedures designed to train others on best practice solutions;
  • Following Unitas Global standard operating procedures, corporate policies, and established best practices in implementation of all solutions.


The ideal candidate is well-experienced with network protocols and solutions, with deep knowledge and understanding of modern data center networking techniques and technologies as follows;

  • Advanced routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, Spanning Tree, MPLS, and DMVPN)
  • Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches
  • Cisco ISR and ASR routing platforms
  • Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls
  • Brocade enterprise and data center class route and switch platforms
  • Huawei route and switch platforms
  • F5 and Brocade load balancer platforms

Additional skills desired:

  • SourceFire
  • Diverse knowledge of common compute operating systems (Microsoft and Linux)

Job Description

This is a 24/7 team responsible for production systems health monitoring, escalation handling and standardized communication of all Incident Management within the Technical Operations organization. Successful candidates must be able to multi-task and prioritize system events according to severity and escalation procedures. Candidates must be comfortable communicating quickly and accurately in the event of production emergencies, both with internal and external groups. This individual must also be comfortable navigating through both Linux and Windows environments and be involved in actively troubleshooting and/or resolving production issues. Candidates must also be flexible to work a combination of day, evening and or third shifts as needed.


  • Monitoring – 24x7x365 Health monitoring of Linux and Windows environments hosting various based web, network, mobile and telephony platforms using server, network and application monitoring systems.
  • Escalation Ownership – production issues are escalated and driven to resolution via troubleshooting, communication, and subsequent updates. Issues are owned from start to finish and tracked in the Enterprise Incident Management ticketing system. The Operations Center is responsible for gathering troubleshooting information either for direct resolution or for an escalation destination party.
  • Flexible with the ability to handle stressful situations, such as initiating emergency conference bridge calls and sending quick and accurate outage notifications. Use of Standardized Communications for Customer communications, Scheduled Maintenances and Service Interruptions.
  • Monitoring of the Infrastructure Change Management policies and procedures. Communicating between departments, vendors and partners as a central repository for information regarding production sites, Customer Support, Help Desk and Core Systems issues across the entire organization.
  • Providing Application Support for Linux and Windows applications, including performing various system administration tasks and performing standard operating procedures as needed to maintain system health.


  • 2+ years of previous Operations Center or equivalent experience.
  • MUST be comfortable working in a command line as well as GUI environment.
  • 2+ years of direct experience (running scripts, grepping logs, troubleshooting errors).
  • 2+ years of direct Windows experience (running scripts, processing event log messages, troubleshooting errors).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to accurately report information in a timely manner.

Looking for an Network Support Engineer who will troubleshoot and resolve complex Tier II and Tier III network related problems, coordinate resources where necessary and serve as escalation point to Tier I operational teams; Responsible for all aspects of the IaaS data center services including Linux/Unix servers and networking equipment; Work on largescale network vendor products like Cisco 29XX series, ASR 1000x routers, Cisco 6XXX or 76XX series L3 switches, Juniper MX or other series routers, Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switching hardware; Implementing SSL and L2L IPSec VPN at customer environments and performing firewall troubleshooting: ISAKMP/IKEv1 and v2; IPsec (LAN to LAN and Remote Access); AAA types

Job Description

Service desk analysts perform first-level diagnosis and troubleshooting support to end-users. Working under minimal supervision, receiving events via calls, email, and web services to provide support in accordance with established Service Level agreements and documented processes. Analysts will provide shift-based 7x24x365 Tier-1 and 2 support for a worldwide internal and client-specific I.T. infrastructure ecosystem.
